Natural Spot Stain Removal
No Harsh Chemicals Needed
Spilled red wine. Some folks panic while others watch it in slow motion as it sinks into the carpet or rug fibers. Here's a tip. Don't try to scrub the stain off, because you will fail miserably and cause more harm than good.

Wine is basically a liquid dye made up of chromogens that is combined with red wine's naturally occuring tannins. Tannins are used in many production materials containing ink.
Applying a dry material like powdery material usually works i.e. salt (preferred), baking soda, baby powder, even kitty litter. Using powder will pull and remove red wine stains. Be extra generous when applying it over the stain and let it sit for a few minutes (3-10) before blotting the area with a cloth.
Removing Blood Stains
Another great powder to use is Oxiclean. Using an oxygen bleach with sodium carbonate can break up the blood proteins while the bleach decolorizes the hemoglobin. Another solution can be acheived by using 1/4 teaspoon of clear liquid dishwasher soap mixed with water to blot and pat dry.
